Costume Institute Gala 2011

Jennifer Lopez in Gucci at the Met

With the Royal Wedding stealing all the headlines, the Costume Institute Gala 2011 came and went with comparatively little fanfare this year.  If you’d like to catch up on who wore what, here’s where you can find the top – and often hilarious – stories:

The Metropolitan Museum

The reason the Gala exists in the first place is to raise money to house and maintain the Metropolitan Museum’s extensive costume collection.  If you have a trip to New York in your future, make room in your schedule to visit.

Fool 4 The City

This blog is hilarious and their coverage of the Gala is no exception.  Read and laugh.

Go Fug Yourself

The fug girls mix fashion with fun and their coverage of the Met made me LOL.  It starts with Diane Kruger’s amazing dress; just keep clicking “Next Story” to advance to the next person they reviewed.  Hilarious!

MSN

Look through the pictures and vote on your favorites…or least favorites.

Vogue

As the annual host of the event, Vogue also has great pictures and an extensive write up.  You won’t find anything snarky here, but you will get a behind-the-scenes look at what happened that night.  Very cool!

So look, laugh, and enjoy.  Always fun!
