10 Timeless Winter Clothes

With winter in full swing and stores starting to clear their winter inventory, now’s a great time to stock up on some of those timeless winter clothes that you can wear the rest of this year and for seasons to come.  If you stick with a simple silhouette, you can dress it up or dress it down without looking trendy or dated.

Camel Hair Coat

Camel hair coats, which are made from camel hair and often blended with wool, have been a luxurious winter favorite since Katherine Hepburn wore one in the 40’s.  They’re warm and timeless and can be worn with jeans, business clothes, or evening wear, which makes them a great investment – if you’re not allergic to animal fibers…

Chunky Knit Cardigan

A chunky cardigan on a cold winter’s day helps to chase the cold away.  Pair it with skirts or trousers for a classic look, but do be mindful of how the bulk – it will make you look bigger than you are.

Knee High Boots

Fashion boots used to go in and out of style, but they’ve been a winter staple for over a decade.  Opt for a simple style in a low or high heel (whichever your preference) in a color that works well with most of your wardrobe.  Always be sure to clean them after you walk through slush or snow.
