With Valentine’s Day just around the corner and the recession still in full swing, does it make sense to “splurge†on Valentine’s Day jewelry? Only if it’s something you can still wear once the holiday is long gone.
As with any accessory, jewelry needs to compliment your skin tone, fit into your wardrobe, and represent “you†– otherwise, it will sit in your jewelry box and not be worn. Now true, you don’t always have control over what others give you, but if you’re asked what you want for Valentine’s Day (or any gift-giving occasion), be thoughtful in your answer so your loved one doesn’t waste money buying something you won’t wear.
