I know, because I visited the Hamptons at the height of the summer season and was blown away by two things:
1. How much money there was

What didn't surprise me?
How frustrated many of them were.

The crazy thing is, I've seen this sort of pack mentality many times over the years, from rural communities and inner cities to the beaches to the suburbs. But I didn't expect to see it at this income level and it really surprised me that I did.
What's the first rule of dressing for success?
Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.
But most people stopped doing that, which is part of the reason why they're stuck.
