It was a dark and stormy night.
So when First Lady-to-be Jacqueline Kennedy
stepped out of her Georgetown Townhouse and
into a swirling blizzard to attend the Inaugural
Gala in January 1961 dressed head-to-toe in
white, fashion followers around the globe let
out a collective gasp.
When she wore a wool coat to the inauguration
the next day instead of a fur coat like all of the
other women, it sent a distinct signal:
fashion in Washington had changed.
The new First Lady knew a lot about style, and she wasn't afraid to show it.
Her clothes were unique, her look was unique, and everything she did seemed refined and
classy. From that day forward, Jacqueline Kennedy was an undisputed fashion darling.
But she wasn't the only one.
Audrey Hepburn had a unique style, as did Grace Kelly. So did Wallis Simpson and Coco
Chanel. Today, Victoria Beckham and Catherine, Princess of Wales are style icons, as are
Nicole Kidman and Kate Moss.
So just what is it about these women – and others like them – that makes their style so
intriguing? What do they know that most don't?
How to create a signature style.
A signature style is a distinct way of dressing that is totally and uniquely YOU.
You take what you have – best features, personal history – mix it with current styles, and
add your own unique little “twist.” Then you dress that way consistently, day after day, to the
shock and admiration of all.
And you do it with less effort and more fun than you've ever had before.
Imagine heads snapping as you walk by.
Imagine others instantly deferring to you.
Imagine jumping to the “A” list in your circle, because you dress well but not like anyone else.
You'll exude confidence.
You'll attract attention.
You'll gain instant favorite status.
Because when you know who you are and dress like you mean it, people get out of your way.
They instantly defer to you and treat you with respect.
Because clearly, you know something they don't.
And you will.
You'll have learned how to harness the power of a signature style.
So how do you develop a signature style again?
By focusing entirely on YOU.
"I am totally impressed with the content you have put together in The Industry Darling
course. I would never expect that a fashion class could be the doorway for such valuable
and specific career advice.
"I have had a successful twenty year career in sales, but purchased the course because I
am planning to enter a different field, one with a different vibe and dress requirements.
Your class provided information that far exceeded my expectations. Thanks so much!"

When you ask most women who their fashion icon is, Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel,
and Jacqueline Kennedy often top the list.
Their beautiful clothes and graceful manners are from a bygone era, so many women
try to replicate it by dressing like their favorites.
BIG mistake.
There was only one Audrey, one Coco, and one Jackie.
Their signature styles reflected THEM.
Their stories. Their hardships. Their lives.
If you “scratch the surface” just a little and learn about their histories, how they dressed
made perfect sense...for THEM.
Audrey Hepburn's boyish figure was the result of severe malnutrition
during World War II. She generally preferred simple, solid-colored
silhouettes that drew attention to her face.
Coco Chanel was born into poverty, raised in an orphanage,
and relied on rich lovers to get her start. Once she became
financially independent, she finally felt powerful and in control
– and created a signature style of menswear-inspired clothes.
Jacqueline Kennedy was raised in wealth and privilege and grew
up riding horses. A Francophile of French descent, she preferred
the simple lines and exquisite fabrics used by French designers.
When you know their histories, their wardrobes make perfect sense.
Their signature styles are a reflection of their lives, their loves, and their passions.
Their clothes tell THEIR stories.
But YOU have a different story.
A unique story that NEEDS to be told.
So...what is it?
What in your life has shaped you to think as you do, work as you do, and dress as you do?
Why do you dress the way you do?
Let me give you an example:
My name's Diana Pemberton and I'm the image consultant
and fashion blogger behind FashionForRealWomen.com,
one of the oldest and most content-rich fashion sites on the web.
I started modeling at 15 and have written more than
a dozen books about fashion, but I didn't start out
in the industry.
Far from it!
I'm a military brat who grew up in Catholic schools wearing
uniforms every day.
I also studied dance for 20+ years and love the discipline of ballet.
I'm perfectly comfortable with rules and regulations and can follow dress codes and
protocols without complaint. But I was also raised by a creative mother who had her
own interior design firm. She taught me about color and proportion and how to create
focal points.
Combine that with the modeling and years of writing about fashion - plus my being a Leo -
and you have my signature style: classic styles in (usually) solid colors with dramatic,
eye-catching accessories. I cannot tell you how many times my accessories have
started conversations.
So what about you?
If you were to tell me your story through clothes, what would it be?
That you're traveled and cultured, like Jacqueline Kennedy?
Powerful and assertive, like Chanel?
Or disciplined yet attention-seeking, like me? 😉
Who and what has shaped your life?
And perhaps more importantly, what about it can you use to create a signature style
that makes you stand out from the crowd?
Because trust me, once you begin to dress in a way that is authentically YOU, you won't
ever go back to worrying about the latest “it” bag or “hot” color.
When people start complimenting you on your unique way of dressing - your
signature style - you'll wonder why you ever tried to dress like anyone else in
the first place.
It's much more fun being YOU!
So how do you go about creating a signature style?
With the Signature Style Blueprint.

Signature Style Blueprint is my step-by-step,
fill-in-the-blank video ecourse that guides you
through the steps of determining your signature style.
You're not like anyone else, and neither is
your story.
Just like Audrey and Coco and Jackie,
we need to determine what's cool and
unique about YOU so you can start to
show it through your clothes.
The course starts with a look at what other women with signature styles have done, so
you get a clear understanding of just what, exactly, a signature style is all about.
Then, we go through the steps of the blueprint:
Step One: We take an inventory of you and your closet. We need to know what we have
to work with in terms of your body type, clothing personality, best features, personal
history, and favorite fashion obsession.
Step Two: We look at the elements that make up signature styles, including fashion,
accessories, and grooming.
Step Three: We figure out how to mesh your preferences with the signature elements
that appeal to you most. By the time we're done with this section, you'll have determined
your signature style.
Step Four: We talk about how to maintain your signature on a day-to-day basis.
You'll literally be able to walk out the door EVERY day, looking amazing from
head-to-toe.
Finally, we'll talk about where else you can infuse your signature style in your
life, like in your house, car, and office. Why limit your style to your clothes?
Let it touch everything in your life.
By the time you're done, you'll know how to mix your:
…with the clothing, accessory, and grooming elements that are distinctly YOU.
You'll know what to highlight, what to camouflage, what to spend money on, and what
to skip all together.
Every woman has a distinct style.
Let me help you discover yours.
Once you begin to dress with your signature style, you'll notice some changes:
You'll be presented with new opportunities – very often in the fashion field.
I put that last one in there, because numerous fashion careers have come
about because of signature styles, including those of:
It boils down to this: when you dress well consistently in a way that's
uniquely you, it pays off handsomely. See for yourself.
"Thanx, Diana. Your features are very informative and a real eye opener for us.
Keep up the good work. You are not just a fashion icon but a teacher as well."

One of the biggest challenges my readers told me they had was dressing well
consistently.
Most could manage to look good for important stuff like presentations or special
occasions, but the day-to-day often fell by the wayside. Which is unfortunate,
because the money's in the consistency.
When you dress well every day, people see you as being organized and in control.
They trust you more.
They pay you better.
Which means that dressing inconsistently is costing you more than you realize.
But you can rectify that quickly and easily by creating a signature style that gets
you out the door every day, looking like a million.
You can do that with Signature Style Blueprint for the low, low, one-time
cost of just $97. $67.
Yep – for about the cost of a dress, you can learn how to build a signature style
that's uniquely you that will pay dividends for years to come.
I happen to think that if you apply the material, you'll be shocked by how well it works.
But if you don't like Signature Style Blueprint or it doesn't deliver to your satisfaction,
just let me know within the first 60 days. I'll refund your money, no questions asked.
